You get a dormitory-inspired hotel experience of your dreams that is in an excellent location. A clean and comfortable room, a self-serve bar, and top 10 dorm life snacks from our grab and go. We are the closest privately owned hotel to Cornell campus - you can even see the campus from our front door! Be on campus in less than a two minutes' walk, with the iconic McGraw Tower only a ten-minute walk away!

In true dorm fashion, our beds are elevated with tons of storage underneath. If you're moving in or out of Cornell or the area, this is a great way to keep your luggage with you and still have space in the room. If you have trouble with the bed, we can provide a stepstool.

While we do not offer in-house hot breakfast, we have a grab-and-go of the highest quality serving top dorm items like organic ramen noodles, mac and cheese, and gluten-free chocolate chip cookies. If that doesn’t hit the spot, we are two blocks from Collegetown or and three blocks to the Aurora Street restaurants! For those seeking convenience, food delivery options such as Ithaca to Go, Uber Eats, and Doordash are also available.

Be your own bartender at the Dorm Hotel. Activate your room key card at the front desk, tap it on the Dorm Hotel logo below the screen of the beer or wine of your choice, and pull the tap handle. Enjoy some of our favorites from local breweries and wineries.

We are a small family business, and as such the desk is not staffed 24/7. However, we can accommodate late-night check-ins, and in case of emergency there is a number you can dial no matter what time during the day. Reservations can be addressed online via our website, which has up-to-date information on what rooms we have available.

The building is on the footprint of an old structure from over a century back, which limits *parking space. Parking is first-come-first-serve, but in general we have been able to accommodate people who need space. We do have a restriction on parking oversized vehicles in our lot. Street parking is also available.

As a result of the modern prevalence of cellphones, we do not offer phones in the rooms. International travelers can purchase a GSM card locally, or use our free WiFi to use Skype or Whatsapp.  You can also use our office phone if need be.

All cancellation requests must be received via email. If there is no email confirmation of a cancellation, then the reservation will still be considered valid.

You can cancel for free if you contact us at least 72 hours (three days) before your stay. After that we charge you for the first night. We recommend guests take out travel insurance in case of any emergencies, bad weather, or toothaches....

BUT guess what, we are not like every other hotel. Say you call us early enough to reopen your room and we rent it out....in this case, we refund all cancellation fees. The more notice we have, the better chance your room sells.

If you booked through a third-party like Expedia or Booking.com, all cancellation requests must be submitted through their platform.

Unfortunately we don't allow pets unless they are certified service animals. We also expect owners to stay with their service animals at all times.
